Serengeti 2002

There is nowhere on Earth quite like the Serengeti. On this, the most famous of the east African plains, the herds of wild mammals easily outnumber those of any other place. The Serengeti is a complex of savanna habitats, spread over a broad surface of volcanic soil 1500 m above sea level. The Serengeti National Park protects 14 750 square kilometres. Immense flat plains of short grass in the southeast blend into areas of longer grass. Our first visit was focused on area around Masai Koopjes, next visit we started from less known Western Corridor from Ndabaka through Seronera and than down to Naabi.
