DSC_1914.JPG - Dambos are features of intense biological activity. It has been observed that elephant prefer to dig for water at the dambo margins rather than taking surface water from the channels. The reason for this is that the water entering the dambo contains minerals. Also in this park photographer can count the number of mammal species in one shot. Here it is a very nice number 4 - elephant, giraffe, pukus and impala.
